Some people misuse the accessibility of wikis to add lots of 'spam' links in the hopes of increasing their Google Rank or of luring wiki visitors to their sites. While doing this, they deface existing pages.
What can we do about it?
How can we keep the openness of wikis, yet avoid spam? Wiki2Go implements a configurable and extensible WikiSpamFilter using a SpamBlackList and URL GreyListing.
Using the WikiSpamFilter, we can keep out most of the spam. The rest is up to the site administrator, to revert unwanted edits.
